Mr. Rahul Sharma, founder and lead instructor at Lotus Dance Academy, was awarded the prestigious “Roll of Honour” by Punjab University for his exceptional contributions to the field of dance. This recognition is a testament to his dedication, talent, and excellence as a performer and mentor in the Indian dance community.
Rahul Sharma, along with his talented student Rupam, proudly represented the academy in the Star Plus event "Nach Baliye", held in Chandigarh. Their performance was met with great acclaim, and they secured the position of 2nd Runners-Up in the competition. This achievement highlighted not only Rahul’s choreography but also the skill level of his students on a prominent television platform.

The academy and its students have won numerous awards in solo, duet, and group performances at various state and national-level dance competitions, showcasing consistent talent and hard work across all styles.
Rahul Sharma’s choreographic talent has been recognized and sought after by some of the biggest names in the Punjabi music industry. He has had the privilege of working with celebrated singers like Gurdas Mann, Sardool Sikander, Jazzy B, Surjit Bindrakhia, and others, contributing his creative vision to live shows and stage performances.
In addition to live performances, Rahul Sharma has choreographed for several Punjabi music albums, bringing visual flair and rhythmic storytelling to music videos. His choreography enhances the overall artistic quality of each production, making the songs more engaging and memorable for audiences.
In 2008, Tanish Goyal, a dedicated student of Lotus Dance Academy, showcased his talent on national television by participating in Sony TV’s popular dance reality show “Boogie Woogie.” His selection and performance brought immense pride to the academy and demonstrated the high level of training provided to its students.
Another shining star of the academy, Yajatra, was selected to showcase his dancing talent at the LG ICC T-20 Cricket World Cup in England, performing alongside the Indian cricket team. This international recognition reflects the academy’s reach beyond borders and its role in grooming performers of global standards.
